The Clay alternative where the enrichment sits inside the system that acts on it
SAGARIS is a Clay alternative for teams that want enriched data to land somewhere that can act on it. Clay is infrastructure that feeds the stack you already run. SAGARIS is the stack: the CRM, the dialer, the inbox and SMS in one seat, at a published $499 per founding seat per month.

SAGARIS vs Clay, on the facts
| Dimension | SAGARIS | Clay |
|---|---|---|
| Published pricing | $499 per founding seat per month, printed in plain server-rendered HTML on our pricing page. | Published, which most of this category is not. A Free plan, Launch at $167 per month billed annually or $185 billed monthly, Growth at $446 or $495, and Enterprise at custom pricing on an annual commitment (clay.com/pricing, August 28, 2026). |
| What the bill counts | A seat. Enrichment, dialing, SMS and the CRM are included in it, and there are no credits to run out of in the last week of the month. | Two usage meters. Their page describes Data Credits that start at $0.05 each and Actions that start at less than $0.01 each, and says Actions reset each billing cycle and do not roll over while Data Credits accumulate up to twice the monthly amount on the Launch and Growth plans. |
| Seats | The billed unit. A larger team costs more; a busier month does not. | Not the billed unit. The Free plan is described as unlimited seats and tables, and no per-seat price appears on the 27 pages we fetched. |
| How enrichment runs | Four providers asked at once, then a per-field merge that keeps a source and a confidence on each of fourteen fields. A purchased title carries lower confidence than the one your rep confirmed, so it cannot overwrite it. | A waterfall, in their own words: search sequentially across multiple tools until you find a valid match, across what they describe as 150+ databases. |
| Data coverage | Narrower, and we would rather say so. Four sources over fourteen fields. No phone numbers, because none of the four returns one. No technographics and no third-party intent data. | Broader. 150+ data partners, with phone number enrichment listed from the Launch plan upward. |
| Execution | In the same seat: parallel dialing on your own number pools, the CRM, the inbox, SMS, and an inbound AI receptionist that answers real calls. | Email sequencing through Clay Sequencer, with reply flows into Slack or the inbox. A dialer, SMS and inbound voice do not appear on the 27 clay.com pages we fetched. |
| System of record | SAGARIS is the CRM. Keep Salesforce and it syncs two-way with conflict-aware, audited writes behind a deliberate go-live switch, while HubSpot reads live and its write-back stays in dry-run. | Yours, not theirs. Clay syncs and enriches the CRM you already run, and lists Salesforce and HubSpot on its integrations page under a category it labels CRMs. |
A waterfall and a parallel poll answer different questions
Clay describes waterfall enrichment as searching sequentially across multiple tools until you find a valid match. That is the right shape when the question is coverage: keep asking until somebody answers, across 150+ databases, and you will fill more cells than any single vendor could.
SAGARIS asks all four of its providers at once and keeps every answer. The merge is per field, and each field carries the source that produced it and a confidence score. A purchased title scores below a title your rep confirmed on a call, which is why it cannot silently overwrite one. A waterfall stops at the first match and the record remembers one answer; a parallel poll keeps the disagreement and tells you who said what.
Neither is better in the abstract. If you need the cell filled, the waterfall wins on coverage. If you need to defend the cell later, provenance wins.
Where Clay is the better buy
If what you are buying is data coverage and orchestration, Clay is the stronger tool and we are not going to pretend otherwise. 150+ data partners for enrichment, and a marketplace their own nav puts at 200+ providers, is a wider net than four. Clay sells phone number enrichment; SAGARIS returns no phone numbers at all, because none of our four sources produces one. If you want to bring your own API keys and pay only for the orchestration, Clay supports that and we do not.
Clay also fits a shape we do not serve: a data layer feeding tools you have already chosen and intend to keep. If your CRM, your sequencer and your dialer all work and you want them better fed, replacing them to get enrichment would be a strange trade.
One bill you can predict
The two pricing models fail in different directions. Clay publishes its prices, which most of this category refuses to do, and meters usage in Data Credits and Actions. That scales down honestly for a small month and up honestly for a big one, and it means the cost of a heavy quarter is a question rather than a number.
SAGARIS charges a seat. $499 per founding seat per month, monthly, cancel anytime, with enrichment, the dialer, SMS and the CRM inside it. Nothing meters, so nothing runs out in the last week of the month and nobody has to decide whether this record is worth enriching.
Who should pick which
Clay on its own may be enough if...
The trade favours Clay when data is the gap and the rest of the stack is settled.
- You are buying data coverage, and 150+ partners against four providers is the number that decides it.
- You need phone numbers, technographics or third-party intent, none of which SAGARIS returns.
- Your CRM, sequencer and dialer already work and you have no intention of replacing them.
- You want to bring your own API keys and pay only for the orchestration on top.
Choose SAGARIS if...
The trade runs the other way when the enriched record has to go and do something.
- You want the enrichment to land in the same system that dials, emails, texts and books the meeting.
- You want every field to carry its source and its confidence, so a purchased title cannot outrank one your rep confirmed.
- You want one predictable bill: $499 per founding seat per month with no credits and no per-record charge.
- You want the CRM included rather than fed.
Clay questions, answered plainly.
The questions buyers actually type when they compare the two. Where we do not know, we say so.
- MOST ASKED
It depends on what you are buying. If you want data coverage and orchestration into a stack you already run, Clay is the better tool. If you want enrichment inside the system that acts on it, with the CRM, dialer, inbox and SMS in the same $499 founding seat, SAGARIS is the alternative.
